Hi, I'm Raji.
Founder of The Conscious Amma.
I am a mother, homemaker, and passionate advocate for raising emotionally intelligent children. Through stories, workshops, and community, I hope to help parents nurture connection, understanding, and emotional well-being in everyday life.

My Story
My story
The journey behind
The Conscious Amma
I'm Raji — parenting coach, writer, and mother. But this story didn't begin with a brand or a course. It began with a girl who was deeply loved, a woman who nearly lost herself, and a quiet decision to begin again.
I was born after nine years of my parents' marriage — a long-awaited, deeply cherished child. My early years were full of warmth and security. Then, at eleven, my father's business collapsed following an accident and our world changed overnight. We moved cities, I failed a school entrance test, and was made to repeat a grade. It felt humiliating at the time.
But that "failure" led me to a school that changed me. Teachers there didn't just teach subjects — they taught character, compassion, and integrity. I became one of the top students. My fees were waived. I began to understand something that has guided me ever since:
A setback is not always a setback. Sometimes it is a redirection.
When my education was next threatened — fees removed, family unable to pay — it was my mother who refused to accept that future. She walked from school to school carrying my certificates, meeting principals, requesting chances. She found me a free seat. I scored 96 percent in tenth grade. To this day, she is the strongest woman I know, and the original root of everything The Conscious Amma stands for.
I went on to study engineering, found my purpose in helping people, and built a career I was proud of — first at TCS, then at Oracle. Life felt like it was finally on track.
In 2020, I got married, joined Oracle, and stepped into lockdown — all within days of each other. A new marriage, a new city, a new family, a new job, and a pandemic, all at once. Then came a PCOS diagnosis, fertility struggles, the quiet weight of questions and expectations, and a home purchase that brought legal disputes and financial strain.
In December 2022, my son Naksh was born via emergency C-section. The moment I knew he was safe, I felt relief. But what followed — postpartum exhaustion, loneliness, identity loss, and emotional burnout — no one had prepared me for. I adored him. Yet there were days I cried while holding him, wondering what had happened to the woman I once was.
I wasn't failing. I was struggling. And there is a difference.
The hardest realisation came later: Naksh was struggling too. His earliest years were filled with emotional tension and limited social connection. For a long time I labelled his behaviour as difficult. Then I saw the truth clearly —
He wasn't giving me a hard time. He was having a hard time.
Around Oct 2025, I lost my job. After twelve years and consistently strong ratings at Oracle, a layoff arrived as part of broader organisational changes. Strangely, my first emotion wasn't fear. It was relief. Life had given me the space I had always wanted but never felt brave enough to take.
And then a single phone call shifted everything. I reached a support helpline and a Telugu-speaking woman listened patiently. Before hanging up she said: "You're unconsciously being negative all the time. Be positive consciously. Don't wait for perfection — just begin again." I had heard similar words before. But this time, I was ready to receive them.
I returned to spiritual practice, worked with coaches, and began writing — not to build anything, but to make sense of my own journey. I stopped trying to entertain Naksh with toys and started involving him in daily life. Laundry became a game. Cooking became connection. Slowly, we both began to heal.
Children don't always need more things. Sometimes they simply need more of us.
That writing became The Conscious Amma — not a business, but a mission. Mothers reached out. Community formed. I completed a parenting coach certification and began creating content with purpose.
Today my mission is simple:
-
I want mothers to know they are not alone.
-
Struggling does not mean failing.
-
When mothers heal, families heal. When parents become conscious, children flourish.
"You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to have all the answers. You only need the willingness to stay conscious, keep growing, and begin again."
— Raji, founder of The Conscious Amma
My Mission
To help parents raise emotionally intelligent children through connection, empathy, and mindful parenting.
I believe that children thrive when they feel seen, heard, and understood, and that parents deserve support rather than perfection.
My Vision
To build The Conscious Amma into a trusted village for modern parents—a place where families can find connection, resources, workshops, and eventually access to trusted experts and support.
My Values
- • Connection before correction.
- • Progress over perfection.
- • Emotional intelligence matters.
- • Parenting is a journey of growth.
- • No parent should feel alone.
Thank you for being here. Whether you are a new parent, navigating toddler years, or simply seeking more connection with your child, I hope The Conscious Amma becomes a gentle companion on your parenting journey.
